An Automatic in a tiny roadster makes no sense, unless you only have one foot.

It's even a 2003 too, I really prefer the face lifted look.

That’s Toyota’s SMG. In the US, it was also the only way to get a 6 speed in the 3rd gen MR2.

That said, from what I’ve read, it was fairly obviously a first generation of the tech. Not terrible, but also not good. I can’t imagine it’s stood the test of time. It’s also weird (or sad?) that Toyota never continued the tech beyond that one, limited market, car. Unless you count the LFA, which would be a stretch.
